The work presents in a systematic manner – classified by class, type, sort and sub-sort – all examinations conducted in criminal procedure by forensic organizations of the Republic of Armenia. It highlights the problem of classification, appointment and implementation of expertise. It gives examples of about 100 cases, most frequently encountered in the practice of criminal procedure with the appointment of expertise, which are accompanied by relevant scientific and practical comments. The work contains many practical tips that are based on the author’s years of experience in the field of investigation. They will help in the selection, appointment of expertise, preparation of materials for examination and in many other matters related to expertise.
The work is intended for officials conducting inquiry and preliminary investigation, including investigators and police investigators, tax and customs authorities, the Ministry of Defence and national security agencies. The work can also be of practical help to judges, prosecutors, lawyers, experts and other participants of procedures, teachers/lecturers of law universities, graduate students and other persons dealing with the problems of expertise.
